Microsoft Close to MGS4, FF13 Deals?

EMagLive.com has received multiple reports over the last few days from sources who wish to remain anonymous that Microsoft is making a largely successful bid for two of the PlayStation 3's most anticipated third-party exclusives: Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

They will both end up on the 360 eventually, its just good business. Plus Microsofts pockets are a lot deeper than sonys.

If Microsoft could afford MGS as an exclusive it would be murder to Sony, if it's a dual release it might be a case of too little, too late for Sony.

I wonder how many times Square enix can say "PS3 exclusive" before people start believing it. They have said again and again that the main FFXIII game will be only for PS3.

i wish they'd just stop making final fantasys, MGS i could take it or leave it, would be a good thing for console sales though.

I think mgs4 will appear on the 360 but it will be the 2nd edition of the game just like what happened with mgs2.

I would buy both in a heartbeat. It would be one of the biggest shockers in the industry as both MGS and FF are synonymous with the Playstation, even if the occasional games are on other formats.

At TGS a week or so ago during the FFXIII trailer at the end of it was a FOR PS3 ONLY message, as for MGS4 it may come to 360 eventually but it will be quite a while after PS3 release, which is why I own both

I have to admit I would be irritated if the report turns out to be true, as I bought a PS3 just for those two games mentioned (and a few others, but those are my top two). Sony seems to be sorting themselves out now, with the recent rumble capabilities and increasing pace on the PSN service, they really don't need two of their biggest draws to be lost elsewhere.

Probably about the same time Vista will be working properly ,and Man u and Liverpool join together
Both these games FF13 and MGS4 have been "supported" from Sony throughout the development, maybe FF Versus 13 will come to 360, but SE have said time and time and time again (getting a pattern here) that FF13 series will ONLY be on PS3. Pretty much the same as MGS4, even though Konami may want to, Kojima has said his PS3 is like a cinema where as the 360 is more like a DVD player, he wants MGS4 to be a cinema type experience. I half expected that MGO would goto to 360 but its been confirmed many times that its a PS3 exclusive. Dont forget theres a small matter of a MGS movie in the works what will be published by Sony, and all the SE films like Advent Children being released by Sony on BD and in Cinemas.

The difference is, Halo3 is microsoft developed (as MS own Bungie), Sony don't own Konami.
