I have googled my problem but cannot find anything about the MX1000 lagging, only praising it's use!

I've got no idea why the mouse is being such a pain but it seems every now and then the mouse slows down, lags, and then catches itself up again, for about 3-5 seconds at a time.

I have installed the latest setpoint software but have no idea what I can do to resolve this problem other than that.

Anyone had any similar issues resolved? May I have a faulty mouse?

IIRC a very short lag was a common problem with the MX1000 when the mouse was lifted off the surface and put back down again; a very slight lag but not 3-5 seconds. I think your mouse is faulty. Charge it fully, check connections with the pc and if nothing changes, contact logitech and they'll send you out a new one as long as it's under 5 years old; they're good like that!

I've had 4 MX1000s and none of them have had lag issues! Perhaps yours is an isolate incident - maybe interference from something ?

Possible a stupid suggestion but worth mentioning... are you sure it's the mouse? Might be worth trying it on another PC to verify, could be that there's something up with your rig.

Wouldn't be surprised it's been being a right pain.

Will give these suggestions all a go. Thanks for the help all.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Just plugged in another di Novo Laser kb/mouse/controller and doesn't seem to be lag with this set one.

Must have been a bad install with the old one or faulty hardware. Will let you know if it lags with another PC.

No stop press it's doing it again! With a seperate mouse. Just connected the media controller and that sent the mouse and keyboard into lag. Going to disconnect it and see if the lag drops.

4??? do you go psyco on yours? i've still got the same one i've had for 2 years, and i use it A LOT!

2 replacements from logitech, one where my mouse feet wore down and the 2nd where the middle button was being weird. I bought 2 btw.

I tend to use my mx1000s extensively :p

i found in HL2 game that if someone was in the far distance (so the head was only a pixal or two in width) that i couldnt quite get the mouse to line up to shoot said person. do you get that? is this to do with the dpi's? apart from that i love my mx1000 the shape is just right for me.
