I always assumed they were attached to each others backs, they always come like that in poster form :)

Ive added everyone on here to friends list, if i have missed anyone, add me.

The best bit about going to St Mirren games now, i sit about 20 feet away from Ms Marsh, she is lovely in the flesh, currently quite heavily pregnant.
 
Played a ton of games tonight with friend this game rocks well done EA. :D

The intricate passing play you can do is immense you can proper destroy who your against with it. Also heading when player goes to head to clear its proper measured now it really awesome animations. Tricks are superb if you can pull them off some are a touch unresponsive i never played the demo so not even had chance to get used to it. I had it on manual everything and was surprised how quick i got used to it considering people i have seeing who had problems with it.

Scored a ton of goals crackers with Nuno Gomes one long range effort Robinson was stranded couldnt get it anymore to top right corner if i tried. Nearly scored from halfway line in another match also with Malouda lovely curling shot saved onto the crossbar though. Also not all but a lot of players look so good and like real life with touch Joe Cole one Beckham, Ronaldinho, Rooney, even got Robinson kick out which looks superb also Berbatov still a lot that is dodgy though.

But i have seen negatives silly keeper mistakes that i dreaded and in the first match like silly saves and easy tap ins. In one game Cech was saving one to bottom right put hand down and ball mysteriously went straight up vertical definitely some bugs this was on Legendary for keepers. :/

You can play so many ways proper lock out you opponent in Fifa 07/Uefa used to get silly scores which were really unrealistic. I look forward to playing some more against the AI etc and exploring all the other modes cant wait but so far so good.

Also the graphics and commentary are awesome but come to expect that now look ace to me at 1080p and runs sweet. :)

Oh and how good is Torres he like a machine. :eek:

Awesome. Just awesome. Been a long time since I've had as much fun and enjoyment out of a single match in a long time, let alone the several I've played tonight. Excellent.
 
Last fifa game I played was on the PS1 (FIFA 96 road to wembley i think) :) , and I have to say wow.. Game play took a bit of getting used to but now im hooked. Also noticed you can get real live updates of the premiership via live.
Not going to knock PES but have played the demo and it just seems more like a graphical game than a football simulator.
 
As an avid Pro Evo fan who would stick up for it every year, saying Fifa cant touch it.

Im going to have to keep quiet this year, i much prefer Fifa this year. I cant beleive im saying it.

A good game though, just messed around last night. I like the 'Be A Pro Mode' but you get punished heavily for not being 'In Position'. Shame you cant be the keepers though or do a season.

Gonna start manager mode but its the usual "Do i start with Arsenal or a League 2 team"?.

Oh can i say that the keepers do make some awesome saves, and a few howlers.

anyone know how you save on the Wii version?

I unlocked Ronaldinho's shirt and won a load of acheivement points last night and they seem to be gone today? :confused:
 
Im rubbish at this, lost my first 2 ranked games, a guy was using chelsea and beat me 3-0, he scored an amazing volley with drogba that dropped over his head, then scored a 35 yard free kick from Lampard.

Played a few games last night, overall I am impressed! I haven't played a FIFA game since around 2003 or maybe even before then, so it did take a bit of getting used to.

Aberdeen stats are rubbish! ---> Quite accurate though ;)
 
Guys which version should I get, I noticed that the PS3 version doesnt do 1080p which is a bummer, but I've also heard it runs a little smoother and looks a little nicer on the PS3 so unsure which to get

Also leaning towards the 360 just so I can play online with you guys

St Mirren's are woeful, lowest in the league along with Gretna, which is harsh.

I wonder if we could get 10 fans from 10 different scottish clubs to have a league, that would be cool.

That's exactly how I feel. The last Fifa I bought before this was Fifa '97 and I always said Fifa will never match PES etc... but as many people know, after the Fifa '08 demo I was raving about it.

I said it then, and I believe it even more now, Pro Evolution Soccer needs a new game engine if it's to compete. Technology has changed SO much in 8 years.
 
Played some more, the lack of a referee and linesmen is quite annoying to me, for a next gen game its a bit of a step back, also did they forget to put in the whistle sound for when the ball goes out of play? Just some little details that spoil the game further for me. Seem some quite shocking goalkeeping from cross balls where they run out to the near post only for the ball to float like a beachball over their head and they just stand around looking dumb, seen it a few times which suggests its more than just a slight fault :(

Also the AI is a bit of a cheat, played a game on Legendary with Barcelona v Gretna and they defended like they were the world's best team and their goalie was saving anything that managed to get past the defence, seemed very heavily scripted and off course AI boosting, shame really as I read this Fifa engine was meant to be free from all that, guess not.

Will be trying it online later, which will be the deciding factor if I keep it or trade it in today for a loss to get Sega Rally :)

Let's be honest now. You were never gonna like it. You'd make sure of that with all your huffing and puffing when people were praising it over PES. Believe you won't like something enough and it's very rare you do.

What's your problem? I went out and spent my money on it, why would I do that if I did not WANT to like it on the basis that the demo was supposed to be an older build. If those niggles I pointed out do not bother you then fine but they bother me ok with you?, normally your the 1st to point out the small things missing from a game that add to the overall experience.
