Well someone's gotta make it

Fixtures:

Saturday
Birmingham v Man Utd, 17:15 Setanta Sports 1
Chelsea v Fulham, 15:00
Derby v Bolton, 15:00
Man City v Newcastle, 12:45 Sky Sports 1
Portsmouth v Reading, 15:00
Sunderland v Blackburn, 15:00
West Ham v Arsenal, 15:00
Wigan v Liverpool, 15:00

Sunday
Everton v Middlesbrough, 16:00 Sky Sports 1

Monday
Tottenham v Aston Villa, 20:00 Setanta Sports 1

All the big 4 have relatively easy fixtures so will all be expecting 3 points, the only question for Liverpool is will Torres start? You can never be certain with Rafa but after sitting out for two PL matches he has to start in this one.

Man City v Newcastle is the pick of the weekend's games for me, we might be seeing them both battling for 5th place come the end of the season. It's probably Big Sam's toughest test so far this season so we'll see how far Newcastle has come under him.

Praying for a city clean sheet today otehrwise it'll be another bad week for me in FF.

As for United, there's ramblings floating about that Saha could start but I can't see it. I reckon Fergie might start him on Tuesday instead. Expected team:

VdS
Brown Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Ronaldo Scholes Carrick Giggs
Tevez Rooney

0-2

Torres will 100% start for Liverpool. Benitez knows he'll get crucified if he doesn't start him today.

Looking forward to the Game against City, in fact I'm off to the pub shortly. As the OP says, it will be our first real test in the premiership and will be a sign of how far Big Sam has brought the club.

Elano and Petrov are different class.

The only thing Sven had me scratching my head about in recent weeks is picking Mpenza over Biannchi, but if he keeps scoring I guess it's a good choice :p (I know Biannchi is injured today ;))

I also wonder how Bojinov would have fitted into his plans too had he not got that bad injury.

Finnan hasn't been picked in 2 PL games now, after being a regular for the last few seasons does anyone reckon Arbeloa is first choice right back in Rafa's mind now?
