OP you are sounding a bit like a spoilt brat to be honest, you should be thankful that you are getting something, as I'm sure many would only get a kind word.

indeed, i didnt get reward for any exam results, till a-levels were done and dusted, but that was dads way of aiding me at uni

chances are if you are to be rewarded at best itll just be a slightly bigger xmas present

or a large hi-fi box with nothing in it but some sweets for acting so spoilt

I got nothing, maybe sweets.

I think i got took out for a meal after GCSE's

You really are asking a bit too much for Sat's results :p

I agree with the majority of those above. £500 isn't a small amount of money and for the majority of people takes hours, days or even weeks to earn. Even if she can afford it, she's still probably slogging away on a 9 to 5 job, compromising free time so you have a roof under your head, food as well as some luxuries. Purely on such grounds, it is her decision as to whether she should blow £500 on a plastic box with controllers, when that could easily treat everyone to a 7 day package holiday in the sun or even just things for herself.

That is some generalizing there :p

You're 14, get outside and have waterfights, even if it is freezing!

I would have creamed my pants if I would have been bought something worth even £200 for SATs results.

hah! Those results mean nothing. A game or something tops IMO.

I got nothing at that age for getting 7/7/7 IIRC (Maths/Science/English)

PS3, yea, if you get As across the board at GCSE!

Im nearly 18 btw ;)

I got nothing for SATs, GCSEs or A/Ss - and I don't want anything either.

Hate hearing people brag about what daddy got them for getting an A at GCSE.... big deal.

If I was your mother you'd be grounded for being so rude...

Hey. Im 14 and my mom has promised me a gift for my good results at school. Now i really want a PS3 and ive asked her before but she keeps saying it expensive. I know very well she can afford it. i then told her to get me one off ebay and she keeps saying no, what shell i do to persuade her, deals, ???

I take it the good results weren't for English?

The reward for doing well at school should be the opportunity to do well at gcse's then well at a levels then go and do well in life.

£400+ for doing well at school is a joke.

Some of us may have seen the brackets before the edit....*whistles to self* I don't edit posts, it's a conspiracy
