I know that im going to get flamed for this, but what is the big deal with Halo?

I havent played the first one on the original Xbox, but I tried it on the PC and it had to be one of the worse FPS I have ever played. I thought nothing of it as it was a poor port over from the Xbox

Anyway, I bought Halo 3 the other day and thought exacally the same, just seems really repeative, slow paced with boring weapons. I played it for about 30-40 mins and I nearly fell asleep, if your going to do a repeative game make a game like Serious Sam, Halo 3 just offers nothing new to me

How Halo 3 is one of the most anticipated titles of all time is beyond me, its not even 10% of Half Life 1 or 2 imo.

I liked the first Halo, But as you said it doesnt compare with any shooters on the PC, Half life 1 and 2 being miles better IMO (ofcourse)

That said, When Halo came out on the Xbox, it was a very different story. Not once before had a I played a FPS on a console where the controls were so damn good! Good graphics at the time the ability to be praised and followed by AI team mates, the ability to drive around in an array of vehicles and the options of using human or alien weapons. All added up to a really good game for me.

That said, I didnt like Halo 2, Not for any reason other than what was for me a bad move, in letting you control the arbiter. I hated that. The graphics were an improvement, if you could handle the slow loading bumpmapping in the odd scene :p

Halo 3, I'm yet to play Single Player mode but i've been told it isn't up to scratch, But i'll make up my own mind on that in time. Multiplayer mode on the other hand i've played, and it's AWESOME.

So anyways, Halo as a series I feel is overrated, Halo 1 was a work of art in it's time though.

All IMO all the time :p

Not overly impressed either, and currently contemplating if I should sell it. It feels slow, clumsy to handle and I find it pretty frustrating. I seem to expend a huge amount of ammo into someone only to not actually get a kill.

Back to COD4 for me I think :D

That's the one thing that really gets me, the amount of times I've planted 20 bullets in someone and they've lived is highly annoying.

Not a fan of the any of them tbh :X, much prefered CS online on the xbox 1 to any of the halos and much prefer Cod online on 360 :)

I don't know why but I love it.

Even though the game makes me wanna punch someone in the fact at times.

I say 'at times' more like all the time. :D

Personally I don't see what all the fuss is about and think Halo is over-rated, but thats just my opinion, a lot of people are Halo crazy so Bungie must be doing something right.

To me its just another shooter, and I thought exactly the same about Bioshock, so I guess I am not 'normal' where choice of games are concered, because I LOVE stranglehold too :D

It's awesome.

You clearly didn't have Halo nights/weekends with your lad mates when you were younger. It really doesn't get much better than 8 guys, 2 flags, some warthogs and booze/snacks.
