When are series 9 cards coming out?

Depends. When you play the waiting game you will always 100% lose, as theres always something new around the corner.

Are current games not playing smooth enough for you?

Latest rumours are of a dual/or 2 slapped on GPUS coming from both ATI/Nvidia think ill pass and wait for late summer/fall for the proper next gen cards ;)

I dont have a system atm, just wondering if its worth the wait...

You reckon they will be worth waiting for..?

Depends if rumours are true. Nvidia head man stated in interview the new 9 series top end ought to be 2 to 3 times quicker than a 8800 GTX. If that turns out to be true then they are going to be good cards.

Worth waiting for.......? Depends what you have now. If the new ones are that fast they aren't going to be cheap maybe £450-£500. If you have that kind of money to spend you proably can afford a 8800 GTX now and upgrade when they come out.

Starting at £400??

I thought they would have the equivelent of a 8800gts.. for about £200

2 or 3 times quicker than the 8800 GTX?

Lies.. it has to be!

Maybe, maybe not. What was the fastest card Nvidia had when the 8800 GTX came out? I suspect the 8800 GTX was more than 2 times quicker than the perious top end Nvidia card. Hell in some games the 8800 GTX is 50% quicker than a 8800 GTS and that isn't a slouch so it's not as unbeleivable as it seems.

Looking more like Q2 2008 now so I'm glad I bought a GTX now :D

Tom don't lie!. Some part of you still craves the ATI. I can see it in your eye. My pathetic attempt at poetry has just made me sigh so goodbye :(.
