Anyone else had trouble with this number before?

Was on the phone to orange for half an hour earlier and they're looking into it, but I have to contact them myself.

Have received 11 texts, being charged at £1.50 each which seems awful considering I haven't signed up to anything!!!

Nope they ask you questions with a prize of £1000. Then a few days later it tells you who won.

I don't care!

The company was BCH Digital or something similar. I was given an email address @2ergo.com to contact and have done.

Update -

Received the following email from 2ergo, the company I was told to initially contact and this is what I received:

Dear Jonathan

Thank you for contacting 2ergo customer service.

Text Messages to Mobile Number ***** ******

We are a technology company and we own certain short codes. Promotion companies use our short codes and technology to access the networks and provide services to subscribing mobile phone users. In effect we act as a gateway between promotion companies and their customers.

We have the ability to remove phone numbers from the subscription database, and we will remove yours. Unfortunately, as we are not the commercial company responsible for sending SMS messages, it is not our place to provide refunds. Nor can we offer refunds on behalf of any company that uses our technology. We can, however, provide contact information for these companies.

The company responsible for messages sent to you via short code 84142 is called BCH Digital. They can be reached on telephone number 0870 231 5625.

If you have any further queries or concerns please contact us on 01706 221777.

Best regards,

So now having to contact another company for the refund.
If they can't help then I'm going to OffCom because this is unacceptable and essentially breaking the law.

Got through eventually and they're "sending me a form".

The guy who I spoke to at Orange (who was incredibley helpful) also suggested that someone could've just incorrectly entered a number etc.

However I want to get to the bottom of this and find out how it initially happened. Getting my money back is the first priority.

Would you suggest going to OffCom after getting my money back?
