I ordered 4 yate loon 120mm fans from america a while back. 2 of them arrived with one blade each broken off. The seller was fantastic and refunded me half the cost of the shipment immediately. It's a shame to let such fantastic fans go to waste though so I was wondering if it's possible to glue a blade back on without it flying off when it's put up to full speed.

Has anyone done this successfully before? Obviously fan blade + speed + computer bits = :( so I'd like to avoid that.

Why from america can i ask? they are available brand new and quite cheap over here.

Why not give it a go and see?

I doubt that a little bit of plastic flying off would even escape the fan cage thing and even then, what could it do?

Will be interested to see how it works glued together/ with one blade missing :D

Got them cheap off the bay. Would have cost me as much to get them from an english shop when postage is involved.

I'll give them a go but maybe stretch some material as a cover over it just in case.

fans are precisely balanced pieces of kit - glue will upset the balance and it will make a hell of a racket - just not worth it.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll give it a try and see what happens. If it's too loud or dodgy then I'll leave it.
