Hi all,

Not attempted this since the wheels have gone on the car. Bit concerned about using a normal sponge on it as i'm sure the grim will be a little bit greasy, so dont want to spread it around rather than move it.

The dishes are black anyway but would be nice for them to be clean, whats the best way of doing this?

Cheers,

Phil

I don't mind taking the wheels off if i have to, i'll probably just jack up each corner and spin the wheel around though.

I was thinking of giving it a bash to start with Fairy Liquid and see how much of the crap that removes...

Oh if you want a top cleaner, try the Megs Wheel Brightener, which is amazing stuff bought up some wheels fit for refurb, a treat tbh, really took some heavy staining off the wheels.

every few months i take my wheels off to keep on top of the innards, i use either megs or autoglym along with jet wash and a green scrubber (not a scourer).

How strange, I'm about to go and do this myself!

I'm taking the wheels off and have some Megs Hot Rims and a nylon bristle wheel brush.

I've got some Poorboy's Wheel Sealant and will put a couple of coats on after claying and super resin polishing. Hopefully this will last through the winter :)

Wheel off, jet wash first, then Megs wheel cleaner + wheel brush, jet wash again, tar remover to get rid of the tough bits, jet wash again, some type of wheel sealant (like poorboys as mentioned), wheel back on and job done.

two and a half hours later and i'm just about to buff off the first coat of poorboys!

and thats only the first wheel, stupid Ford multispokes :(

looks the dogs danglies though (for about a week maybe)
