Car Tax - Just Want to Check

i just taxed my 1.2l 51 plate Corsa. It cost £79.50 for 6 months. Surely, by some mishappen event, something has gone awry and they've mistakingly charged me for taxing some kind of cruise liner.

How on earth does it cost £80 to tax a fricking Corsa. Seriously. As if 66p of every litre of petrol i buy is not enough.

Get a Peugeot 107 - £35 per year tax - 60+ mpg

That involves driving a 107 though.

I stick to paying my >£200 a year tax.

Strange - I just paid £77 to tax my Saxo VTR for 6 months :confused:
