Fifa 08 for Wii - out today

Who's getting it?

Reading the review, it got 7.9 IGN score and its review say that it is faster paced game as compared to PS3 & 360.

Getting both the Wii and 360 versions, interested to know what the Wii one plays like.

I may end up playing FIFA on the Wii, and PES on the 360.

Let us know if it's any good or not if you do pick it up. I'd be interested to know if the IGN score is a fair representation.

Just been playing the Wii version, definitely different and you wont have ever played a football game like it.

Some things don't quite work with the Wiimote and Nunchuk, and it does feel a bit dummed down in some parts, but credit to EA for trying something a bit different and not just bolting Wii controls onto a Gamecube build or something.

Can imagine it to be more fun than the other versions with more people playing locally, but I think I'll end up sticking to the 360 version.

good game
the control system works well (once you are used to it)
haveing to take a throw in by makinking a throw in action is a neat trick

it does feel quite arcadey though

biggest flaw is that there is no career mode

Very true about the career mode, shame they spent so much time on the pointless "Footii Party mode" rather than a proper career mode.

But hopefully in Fifa 09 they will have implemented a career mode.

Its definately a fun game, starting to really get better at it, i can beat the computer at Semi Pro level
