Were 8-9 south island NZ?

Indeed they were, they were taken on the trans alpine railway which goes from Christchurch to Greymouth (east to west)

Regarding the equipment used it should be in the exif data, but anyway it was my Nikon D80 with 90% of the shots using my Sigma 10-20mm.

Once again thanks for the great feedback everyone. Showed some of the people at work yesterday these, and pretty much everyone followed the same comments on here followed by the words 'You must have a great camera to get shots like that' weird how people think like that, instead of oh you thought about the lighting and composition of that one, instead prosuming the camera did all the work!

I'm sure as a photo it is not, and would really worry if it was. It's purely a photo trying to capture the Thai way of life..
