Hi guys

Just one question - how on Earth do you play the 17th at Sawgrass (the tiny island green) with a 20mph trailing wind?!!!

If I can even get it to land on the green, the wind is so strong it just shoots off the other side into the water.

Got that mad I nearly put my fist through my monitor!

Any suggestions?

Change the stick you use (or club if you prefer the technical version) to take account of the distance so if its 120 yards then get one that does 100.

Tried that - but even using as much as possible, with that trailing wind it still seems to skid off. :(

Done that too, landing it is one thing - getting it to stay on the green seems to be another.

Put the ball more backward in your stance, will hit ball higher, should land and stop a lot shorter

Isn't there a bunker next to this green? Haven't played the game for a few days so can't remember for sure but what i tend to do in high winds is aim for this if it is there. Rather have a bunker shot than my ball swimming with the fishes lol

Agreed, aim for the bunker and mulligan 'til the cows come home if you can.

Thats why we are discussing a computer game in the PC games forum. He wants computer game help not actual golf lessons.

LOL - very true!

I think as was said before that there is a bunker, but it's tiny & quite difficult to hit. I guess it's going to have to be practice, practice, practice on that hole!

To me, it seems to be the hardest Tiger Woods game yet - especially the greens, they seem to have a lot more pronounced slopes & ridges than before.

You could also try landing the ball on the fringe of the green, this will take a lot of velocity out of the shot.

sorry I thought this was a golf forum...:D

anyway doesnt matter computer game or not the same techniques you use for real golf apply to playing golf on the PC. Putting it back in your stance would make the ball go lower not higher.

so bad advice :)

I must have got mixed up with the slider thing, either way move it to one end to hit a higher ball, and I DO play golf, but as from my advice I am BAD at it :D
