Student Loan

Talk to the University they will normally give you a hardship loan until the actual loan arrives.
 
I'm in the same boat, except i'm at college and living at home, although there are some strange circumstances with my course in that it no longer exists but i don't finish it until February lol.

You would think that but the SLC seem to have messed it up a bit this yr in my house alone only 2 out of 5 of us have recived our loans so far and thats after we all sent our forms off at pretty much the same time, theres also plenty of other people I know that havent recived theirs yet as well
 
Mine went in on tuesday after a slight cockup on monday - so I think i'll get mine later next week I think.

bit annoying though! I need it to pay my landlord 3 months rent, deposit and bills! eep!

Still haven't recieved mine :( The 0% overdraft on my halifax student account is coming in very handy. I suggest you go open an account because it will come in very handy later on.
 
Not had mine either, and I'm on my 3rd week back. Overdraft's still not looking too happy after last year, but should just about keep me alive til whenever it comes it.

I did apply for everything on time (well, renew it for a second year), but I'm being reassessed due to a change of situation with parents, and they need to send me more forms to sign at so on...Theoretically, I should end up with more money as a result, but that doesn't help in the meantime when I don't have any :p
 
Not had mine either. I filled in my forms in April and got everything approved ages ago. Registered last Tuesday.
 
i applied about 2 weeks ago lol...still says awaiting assessment online :(

relly need the money...my overdraft is -£1200 or so, although am working so should get cash by end of month...but so far away :(
 
I'm still waiting for mine too. Have had problems with my NI number becoming 'invalid', so I've been going from agency to agency trying to get it sorted.
