It's stupid, they're too far away from anything else to be good for FPS games... I suppose Quake didn't have much more than forward/back/strafe though

True, it's more limited that a lot of modern games, considering it came out in 1995.
Forward, back, strafe, jump, shoot. That's about it. Best FPS ever though! [I expect most people to disagree with me].
