Team fortress 2 ocuk team

Oh man is this game good. It may sound clichéd to say, but this has reinvigorated gaming for me. After a few years of WoW and endless grinding, I'd lost touch with my FPS side. I was always pretty good at TFC/CS, boy I've missed it.

Been getting back to my sniper/engineer roots, not overly keen on the sniper rifle atm but I'll get used to it again after the godliness of the AWP in CS.

What a genuinely fun game. Woo!

Yeah I agree, with the dissapointment of ET:QW, PC Gaming was all but dead for me, there was nothing out or in the pipeline that interested me, however on the off-chance I checked a thread on here the first night TF2Beta was released and you lot were piping on about how good it was, so I thought ok lets give it one more go, turned the PS3 off and blew the dust off Steam, I was really suprised, I had never played any TF games before, and this thing really keeps me entertained!

Like you say its just genuinely fun! (something thats lacking from most modern games)

It's just the way the whole game is engineered. Valve have gone to considerable lengths to get a major fun-factor into the games atmosphere and it really shows. From the simple things like the remarks from your character as you kill, to the spy's disguise being a mask, to the pyro's muffled cries for a medic. The whole game just feels so well done.

a lot of posts I've read elsewhere recently have said that TF2 is a very slow-paced game, but I have no idea how these people are forming this opinion because to me it seems an extremely frantic and fast-paced game. The balance of the game constantly ebbs and flows and despite a match taking ages, the gameplay isn't slow at all. I don't know what they're basing their experiences on, but I can't see how the gameplay could actually get any quicker without ruining the flow of the game.

I've said it a few times and I'll keep saying it. TF2 is an absolute gem of a game and Valve have got a lot right and very little well with it. I enjoy everything about it, from the cartoony cell-shade-style graphics, to the balance of the classes (although some tweaks are necessary but not majorly important). Considering it is a beta, we're in for great things come official release.
 
for a beta its better than most EA games after getting fully patched then dropped!!!!

Its an excellent game as many people are finding out. The balance between classes for me is as good as ever personally. I cant see much else thats wrong with it at the moment!

As for the overclockers clan name we have to keep the overclocking portion in there I feel. Perhaps we could have OCGB (Overclockers Great Britain)???
 
I doubt it's even a beta honestly.
Even though they say it is, or did they? Just play it early!
Heck even actual beta's are classed as beta's on steam,b ut not TF2.
Let's face it, it's not going to change much from now>retail :p

However if they could tweak some of the CTF rules a bit i'd be happeh!
 
BTW, has anyone had any graphics problems with TF2?

I get something that looks like artifacts on a few maps, but my graphics card appears fine in anything else?

I get badly shimmering shadows on static objects like cabinets. in fact I think its only cabinets that have the issue....
