Wtf. Is it just me or is the window sucker that comes with the TomTomGB V2 just utterly useless. No matter how hard I press it onto the window it just doesn't seem to stick. Twice I've nearly crashed due to this POS unsucking and the TomTom come flying off the window :mad:. Can anyone recommend a decent one. I noticed my uncles more expensive model came with a twist sucker which creates suction to keep It's self mounted yet TomTom decided to include this unsafe piece of crap with their lower models. :o:confused:

This is the useless sucker I have atm;

Its rubbish. The sucker on the V1 is very good. Check the tom tom site to see if you can buy the V1 sucker and whether it would fit.

Bad move tom tom.

Works well enough for me (does help if you wet it). Trick is to stick it to the screen, then spread your fingers over the base and properly push (on the sucker itself) it onto the screen, then give it another shove through the shaft.

Fnaar.

Screen has to be clean too.

I guess it depends a lot on the curvature of the screen you're fitting it too but I've used it in loads of cars with no problems once I learnt the knack.

email them saying that you was nearly in an accident due to the inability of there sucker and its not up to the job, ask for an upgrade, you never no i polite email goes a long way.

Hi Tom

Have you given the inside of the window a good clean aswell as the tomtom sticker, give it a try and then lick the tomtom sticker.
Ive used mine in 9 different cars and 3 vans no problem, only on 1 van was it coming off so I just cleaned the window and it was fine.

The window is perfectly clean mate I gave it a clean the other day. TBH I'm not risking it again It's too much of a liability it seems

Yeah I have the same, and it looses suction easily on a clean screen...

You can buy the twist sucker for this model from halfords, I havent got round to buying one yet, but I will....

lol - how come you nearly crashed when it fell off the window?

i've nearly come unstuck when my cheapo phone mount came...unstuck, i have it on the right of my steering wheel and it fell into the middle of the steering wheel between the edge and the centre, meaning i couldnt really turn the wheel lol.

The sucker on my tomtom go 700 and 910 are a lot better than that (the 910 being again better)
