Sorry to ask a silly question... But I just wanted to know if Onkyo was Japanese brand..?

...also - Would you say it's a quality brand like Denon, Pioneer?

Im not disbelieving you - but where the **** did you hear that?

Ive never even heard a rumour of that kind - despite knowing a huge amount about Sony for years.

Aiwa was/ia part of Sony (what ever happened to them?)

Did you read this anywhere or heard on the grapevine?

Really surprised about Aiwa though - thought they were owned by Sony much earlier (80's) but looks like they were just shareholders at that point.
