*Security head goes on* Poor display by the stewards at Celtic Park, big panic after the winner when the players ran to the corner and the fans surges forward to congratulate them. Almost every steward ran to this scene of celebration, allowing the idiot to run on due to no crowd cover. *Security head off, fan head back on*

Never mind the fan, Dida's actions spoiled an amazing night. UEFA claim that they will come down hard on play acting and I hope they don't try to ignore this one. Yes, Celtic should be fined for the pitch incursion but Dida was not the first Milan player to try to con the ref, just the worst and most dramatic. I hate to see so called superstars reduced to cheating just because they aren't having as easy a time of it as they think they should. Get on with the game and admit you got cuffed. Hail Hail.
 
Hmm...It would have been nice if all the home sides had won. I wouldn't worry Liverpool, get 6 points of Besiktas and you're back in it. You probably can afford to have slipped up now - better now, then when it's too late :)

Always nice to see them lose though hehe!

Is Stevie beyond criticism then? As he was arguably as bad as the players you have mentioned. The myth of him being the best central midfielder in the world is finally being exposed.

Been absolutely poor since the International break, dropped far far too deep to pick up the ball in the absence of Xabi and Agger who normally would be controlling that area.

His booking didn't help but as soon as he's back on the right the better.

To add salt into the wound I was on the Kop, surrounded by whoppers who were most definately attending their first matches armed with jesters hats, outsung by at best 2000 marseille supporters who were absolutely fantastic don't get me wrong but jesus christ.

First time i've heard booing from the Kop end as well, blame attributed to said parties above ^ it's just not the Liverpool way.
 
I thought the kop looked as if it were full of suspect fans, iv never actually been to anfield yet so eventually im going to be one of those first timers but im not going to boo or jeer, and whats the point in going if your not going to sing?
hmffff, stevie was nowhere near the form he regulaly displays for him to be branded one of the best midfielders in the world, he never had the chance to spray the ball around in his usual fashion, i think a lot of that was down to half the team playing utter carp too, you could see him just do a short pass then walk up to someone screaming because they hadnt made good movement or found space..
generally so many bad performances dragged down a lot of the team with them, i just want us to come back all cyclinders firing.
 
I saw the Dida thing as it happened (Chelsea and Liverpool were hella boring and Lazio had just equalised - so Celtic were on) and I couldn't help but laugh.

I'm not at all surprised, I've seen him do it before. It also reminded me of Rivaldo at the World Cup in 2002. He only did it because he proved what a mug and crap keeper he is with that save. Shocking.
 
Good result for the tic but they should be hammered.
1. For the celebration of the second goal and the way the crowd went forward (Health and safety nightmare)
2. for a fan getting on the pitch getting up to lay hands on a player and get off the park and not 1 steward attempts to get near him. They are lucky the guy only gave Dida a little slap if he had a blade it would have been so much worse and he would have been able to get away with it aswell.

They have a long shameful history of fans attacking refs and players on the pitch.

Played poor last nigth did not watch the game but everyone on her are saying Momo should not have been on that pitch last nigth but where was gerrard not been playing well for the last couple of weeks

Gerrard although was poor, especially by his own standards was nowhere near as bad as sissoko, sissoko covered LOTS of ground, but mostly because he kept giving the ball away and had to charge after whoever had regained possession. He was appauling.

the health and safety record of celtic park is far better than that of certain other stadiums
