Never mind the quality ... feel the 'width

i have been away for a wee while (dont ask) and am just starting to return to the land of normality

and ..

I have been looking through the forums (GD and SC in patricular) and was wondering, what do you think of the quality of the threads/posts on here since, say this time 6 months or a year ago? i myself can see a real change in the quality and posting style. what do you think?

Please note : This isnt an open call to slate anyone, just more of a question of what you think of the quality of topics and threads etc.

I think that a year ago they was fantastic, then about 8 months ago it went downhill (for various reasons - without saying too much...), but it's starting to get back on track

Well let's put it another way. I don't feel that the recent 'eviction' and 'flitting' of certain OcUK members, to another certain forum, has helped. The majority of those that left, were (usually) high quality posters - CBS included.

Sadly, I can't help sometimes feeling that I'm an adult amongst a playground... .

It's better than it's been at certain times.

I don't really miss any of the members who got banned except VIRII.

GD has always mostly been spammy crap, I feel it's SC that's suffering the most at the moment, a lot of the threads in there are GD quality.

and thats thier choice. it doesnt make them silly ... infact although that community is still in its infancy, i remember it being very very vibrant

maybe someone else should take up the mantle?

Call me shallow, but I never really venture in SC... but then I find politics boring, even tho I know it affects everyone in some way. My fav's right now are the music and motors forums...

As far as quality goes, I find it helps to not click on the rubbish threads.

There are still good threads around, but none spring to mind unfortunately...
