Is this ram compatible with Asus P5B-E Plus?

Quick question is PC8500 DDR2 ram compatible with my mobo? The actual mobo guide says its only compatible up to PC6400 but the crucial system scanner says that i can use 8500 ddr2. Can anyone please confim this?
