ever since ive installed crysis MP beta, i get this error on ANY game i install from a mounted iso.

this is driveing me nuts, ive got over 8 games to install, and they all come up with the same thing.

anyone got any ideas?

im using daemon tools aye, hold on, ill give it a shot. i just tried on WiC, MotoGP07, oblivion and all get the same'ish thing, always the exact same error about a .cab file, ive searched C: for a .cab and deleted 2 data 1/2 cab files which were corrupt, still no luck.

but ill give your idea a shot.

ok, so i just mounted a couple of games, and all the data.cab files on the mounted iso are corrupt.... how is that possible? surely they cant have all broken on there own. this is rele weird.

aye, only my cpu, which is at 3.4, and gfx which are at 630/1010. and im almost 100% sure it has nothing to do with that as they have never affected it before.

yes warbird, before i uninstalled it. i must be that, ive not had this problem since 2 things have happened, my Be* broadband line has become active and crysis was installed. im running trend micro housecall atm to see if i got anything, which i doubt it. but worth a shot.

i dont want to loose over 700gigs of game iso's lol, this is my worse nightmare lol

Why dont you get something else to mount them with? I use Alcohol Virtual Drive to mount all of my iso's and I haven't found something it wont mount :p

when the scans over, ill use alcohol and see how its goes, ive got all versions way back to last year january lol

but at the moment, im listening to top gears top anthems to cool my melow lol.

got my mate complaining about her girlfriend in my ear as well, im just nodding and agreeing... this was not how i pictured my loverly friday night.

you know ive a crc error but the error is disk cannot be found insert disk, try again or cancel since i installed crysis, comes up in a window like the one you shown but im on xp. i just deleted my physical cdrom in device manager then reinstalled it. maybe you should do that with your virtual drives in device manager
 
well, i just tried on vista 64 ultimate (im xp mainly) and its the EXACT same thing. ill try what you say mate, and see how it goes :D

worth me running memtest? mine arnt overclocked though, thats the thing, at default, with 2.1v

EDIT: after reading through some google-love, it seems your right, i could have a defective stick of memory lol... great.

ill look into it, if i do, im gonna be upset :( i cant help but think crysis has done this, because its only happened ever since i installed it...

OK.... so, i download WiC using utorrent rather than my special zuse, no hitched, not only is it not going to one of my 500's it went to my os drive. new daemon tools installed, extract the iso and then mount, install, bam.... worked, so now, i know its not my mem, but possibly the downloads hard drive, SO, im copying it over to my 500 download drive, gonna delete the iso, re extract it, uninstall wic, and reinstall it from the iso i re extracted and see if i get the error, if so, i know its the hard drive, if not, then i know its my zuse that messed it all up.

got a extraction error, one of the parts was corrupt... now what? does that mean my drives buggered?
