2007 Chinese GP - Race 16/17

i would say LH has his eyes more on the title then the race win, at a guess i think he is fuelled light, solely to avoid any first corner shenanigan's and try to earn a few seconds gap over FA before the first round of stops.

he only needs to beat FA afterall.

3rd best driver in the world tbh

Who is? Some of your posts just dont make no sense.

Anyway, what a lap from Hamilton, he did set it the car up well for the softer tyre's and got the job done. Might be lighter on fuel but you just got to give him credit.

The Ferrari's have the 2nd and 3rd sectors in thier pockets. They are arguably a lot faster than the McLarens. McLarens have the first sector in thier pockets. Each lap, I think the Ferrari's will be stronger over the longer runs. I think they have a better package than Hamilton.

Dont count out Alonso either, hes fueled up by the looks of things, half a second behind Hamilton. He will become very handy if there is rain.

It will be very intresting if we see a little rain tomorrow.

Heard this a lot this season... turns out to be wide of the mark in the majority of cases

If he is then he should be less annoyed than he was. He was pretty cheesed that he didn't do better.

Agreed it just seems to be ITV that think that. Nobody else does. There is such a small margin of advantage having a longer wheel base but it's nowhere near ITV's perception of it being able to win them races.

Thats what i thought and id completely back that decision, avoid any danger in the 1st, gain a few vital (very vital) seconds over the rest, get in 1st, refuel, tyre change,

wonder what tyres hes starting on? the softs?

Id like to think maybe so... not too sure weather i would want him to dominate in the 3rd section of the race or at the beginning..

Couple be a cover up, who knows.

Above the Ferrari being stronger over a longer distance, could well be true this time in this race. I know its been said a lot this season but I do really think it could be the case this race.

I guess Hamilton is lighter than the Ferrari's by a couple of laps. I doubt that he will pull out a gap that will see him come out back in front of the Ferrari's.

that doesn't really matter too him much, well unless the competitive edge gets the better of him. in terms of the WDC LH should be happy to see the ferraris drive off into the distance going 5s a lap faster as long as he stays in front of alonso.

Indeed. So long as the Ferraris are far enough ahead, he can let Alonso by, finish 4th and still win the WDC.

superb lap from hamilton timing is everything and the way he treated his tyres on the warm up lap ensured he had them nice and sticky :D
i still think that it will be a ferrari win but as long as LH brings it home ahead of Alonso (id like to see a brazilian finale)
i'll be getting up live for this one for sure :D

This could well happen. Would'nt be a good watch.

We would have bloody James Allen wetting his pants with excitement over Hamilton. It getting a little borring now.

Unfortunately that's the sensible thing to do. Kimi needs to win so Massa will be acting as rear gunner, Alonso needs to beat Hamilton by a couple of places so has to go after Massa. All Lewis needs to do is let those three fight it out and keep his nose clean, the McLaren is sufficiently faster than anything else that maintaining fourth shouldn't be too difficult.

There's a good chance DC gives Alonso a bit of a run into the first corner, then there's big bad Ralf to t-bone him so there's a chance it could be all but over fairly early on.

But as James Allen is a self confessed Kimi fan - better Hamilton win the WDC than Kimi. He is just putting on a lot of the Hamilton love for ITV.

ron on phone to DC-

'you remember when you left.....'
'och..'
'your contract still stated one obligation...'
'aye?'
'your gonna have to give alonso a slap.'
'THHEE NNOOOOOOO!.mofo'

+1 internets for who gets that. ;)

I can't imagine what the McLaren boys have prepared just in case he secures the championship title tomorrow  He ******* deserves it if he does pull it off IMO.

I think McLaren have got him for life as well to be honest. He will be a marketing machine over night. Everyone will want to sponsor McLaren!
