I thought we did well. They punished us through Evra in the first half as it's obvious teams will start attacking aerially against him without Vidic to pull him out the ****.
Ferdinand was masterful again, breaking his all time record to deliver 3 world class performances in a row.
Pique looked very assured, a million miles away from the player I saw against Coventry last week.
Simpson looked very confident at RB, again, totally different from Coventry (though he was LB against Coventry wasn't he?), I think the new contract has really given himself confidence.
Anderson was brilliant, especially considering he's a forwards player who was winning tackle after tackle. Loads of heart and a hell of a pass on him.
Scholes was back to playing well which was a nice change, orchestrating the middle.
Giggs needs to be off corners, but did a lot better than normal. He's definitely of use on the wings (which I always said) but he'll never make a forward.
Ronaldo was everywhere, terrorising Wigan. Two goals and a stonewall penalty not given.
Tevez was unbelievably good again and picked up his 3rd MOTM EPL performance in a row. Very hard working.
Rooney was off the pace for a lot of the game, great cross for Ronaldo and a good header too. Nice to see him get 2 in 2.
Overall I think we played very well once we'd sped it up, Scholes and Anderson worked superbly, the wings were measured and available and the forwards (second half) were generally central. The first half was worrying with Rooney on the left and Tevez on the right and no one in the middle though.
I thought 2 of the 3 subs did outstandingly well, which makes a nice change. Nani looked awful, but in fairness he only had 10 minutes.
Nice to see us score as we've always made the chances.
Like I said when all the nay-sayers came out the woodwork, 'Arsenal lost before going 49 unbeaten. It's not the end of the world'.
