Crysis MP beta now open to everyone!

Bugs i've found:

when pressing V to bring up the nano-suit/weapon customisation menu, if you click fire, the weapon you had out at the time will continue to fire untill its ammo is exhausted.

occasionally there are instances where, if i've died while an enemy has been firing their weapon, the weapon firing sound will continue untill the game is fully closed and reopened.

if a person cloaks, and then customises their weapon, the add-ons will NOT be cloaked.

All known bugs I believe. I've not heard many people talking about the first one though, you might wish to report that. The others are already being worked on.

As for where to report them - http://www.forumplanet.com/crysisbeta/topic.asp?fid=29949&tid=2085568 :)

Yea Ive had similar

The worst bug for me is when a team mate runs into you through a door or narrow passageway you die and loose your points as it counts it as a TK :(

AVG announced a fix for this issue, it will probably be included in tomorrows update. In the meantime, restore the file from the vault (If you did heal it), then in main AVG window; view > component > Resident Shield > Excludes tab, and locate the directory that inlcudes the Crysis .exe and you're good to go.

I did not know that about customising in cloak, I do that A LOT!

And you will find nothing.

I have 11 processes running minimum at all times, add on 6 for folding at home, 1 for MSN, 1 for firefox.

So 19 usually running, I watch CPU usage time, and its all 99% folding at home.

I run the online AV every so often, I run spybot + adaware every week or so.

You really really REALLY don't need AV running 24/7.

Hell my PC is proof of that.

One hardware firewall + firefox + being careful = win

means nothng, all you have to do is visit paypal, ebay and a few other legitimate sites to pick up some tracking cookies at the very least. firewall do well, but wont stop all, majority of nasties these days dont manifest themselves in the process tree, not all the time. after a couple of weeks browsing even "normal" sites you'll be surprised how many nasties you pick up, some harmful malicious, some simply tracking cookies. when you download a trainer from the web, how do you know that .rar doesnt contain a virus, when you run a trainer, how do you know its not installing a trojan that'll sit there silently watching. plenty of nasty stuff is able to hide itself deeper then the process window can show.

also the .exe files from themexp site are rammed with malware and spyware :(

anyway, this isnt the place for this, i'm just still very surprised by your original comment.

yeah, every time i download a nocd or a trainer, i run a dedicated scan on the .rar . about 30% of the time it's got a nasty in it.

oh yeah, i submitted the bugs using the form from the email.

i've another one, when i'm in the buy menu, and i click the addons tab, it will swap back to the weapons tab after a couple of seconds. very annoying. i often endup wasting prestige on items i don't want/use.

Simple answer.

I use a mac :)

6 years and not one thing thats EVER been found using anything, ever. I used to have AV but gave up from the hassle and system usage!

Anyway, if you want to ill install AVG, see what it brings up.

Ill post another thread if it finds anything

Back to crysis :p

A little tip for beta players:

Use strength mode when firing a high powered gun to greatly reduce recoil and improve accuracy :)

After reading the latest news post on CAD, Im defenatly set on having to wait till geforce 9 cards and the new 45nm intel cpus, because if absaths pc cant run the game at a decent fps, there is no chance that the spec i was planning will be able to.

And for those who dont know, absath is the guy behind ctrl-alt-del comics, and he uses:
Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 processor
Asus Striker Extreme 680i motherboard
4GB Corsair Dominator RAM
2x GeForce 8800GTX video cards
Ageia PhysX card
320GB 3GB/s SATA Seagate HD
