Right, the case which i was going to go for when i eventually build my pc was the eclipse. Cool, roomy, awesome. (looks crap though imo :p)

But reading up on the zen - it doesnt sound too bad!

Good cooling (true?) , can fit an 8800 in (future proof) , looks pretty good, just over 30 quid!

What more would i be getting from the eclipse then the zen?

Also, i want to buy a cheap cpu - like the e2140/60 and oc it, so would like to fit a nice cpu cooler in it. Would i be able too?

Also, is the case quiet?

And this would be the 1st time i build me own pc, would it be easy to build one in? :D

Cheers lads, really want some help on this! :)

Got it myself, great space, eclipse will be much bigger though. Great wee case, for the money. Quiet if you get the fans on a controller.

But honestly if the eclipse is the case you really want, you'll only sit there looking at it and wishing you had the eclipse.

Thing is though mate, i dont really know! Never seen the 2 in real life, so im going on what you and others tell me on here :)

So if there not on a controller, how loud are they?

Not unbearable, but my controller, akasa jr, was about 8quid. Well worth it!! ;)

Want budget get zen, want quality space and a case that will last forever get the eclipse.

OK cheers for that mate - anyone else have anything to add?

I really wouldnt mind goin for the zen though because it shaves 60 quid off, but obviously i know you get what you pay for, and i guess a case is something that can potentially last you for ages. Probably in the long run will be the component you use most. So in that respect, spending 100 quid on it dont sound too bad i guess. :)

The Zen isn't that fantastic. It does the job but has plenty of niggly design issues. At stock the fans run ~1200rpm and I can confirm it fits an 8800GTS easily.

To add to the list: The rear 120mm fan is a tight fit and pretty much holds itself in without the need for screws :)
The majority of air going in at the front seems to be through the USB/audio cover. Well, I get a lot of dust buildup there along the inside top edge of it.

Honestly the eclipse is the best case around, I've build multiple new computers into other cases, and then had to switch them back to my old eclipse as the cooling is second to none. My problem with all the other cases I've tried is that the cooling of the hard disks is generally not up to scratch, but with the eclipse its exceptional

I think im verging towards the eclipse , but before i do - are they any other better alternatives out their?

Cheers :D

Lian li pc7?

I would go for the eclipse, always wanted one. But the zen sits under my desk where I don't see it, I don't overclock so no heat issues and its quiet enough!

So couldn't justify the price difference.
