Why does anybody other than yourself care about this?

Nearly 20,000 posts eh?

I wonder if they are all as insightful and enlightening as that one?

I'll help you out a little here mate, if a thread is titled "Ethan has chicken pox" It is going to be about a lad called Ethan with.....wait for it...Chicken pox.

The next step may be harder for you to understand but please read through it a few times until you get the idea....here goes, if you don't want to read about the lad with chicken pox, maybe it is better to not read the thread:)

Get it?

You'll thank me for that one day.

Because it dosen't matter? Why would I want to come into GD and not want to click on anything? It's a thread where you think "oh right", complete and utter waste of a URL.

Don't you think you're being a bit harsh? There are 1000's of GD threads since I've been a member that I would call waste of DB space.

I personally rarely post in JodieG's threads because a lot (not all) of them are posts about parenting and surrounding issues and I'm only 20 and obviously don't have any short term plans to have children yet.

Doesn't mean that others don't find them useful, especially other parents.

I know you're young too, so maybe you wouldn't appreciate such threads but that still doesn't mean you should trash her threads.

Aww bless.

My daughter got it on her 1st birthday. She looks dreadful on the pics! She was covered in them head to toe and even had them under her hair! My son was 4 at the time and he got it too but only had one spot on his forehead!

My youngest hasn't had it yet so we're just waiting!

Your son could quite possibly catch it again then.

I'm with you on this one, it's the most inane and pointlessly boring thread I've ever seen in GD, and THAT is some achievement.

And that's a blatant lie. There loads of threads that get deleted because there plain boring spam. This is not one of them. Just because your not interested, doesn't mean everyone isn't. Personal taste and all that.

Hope Ethan gets better soon, at least he's caught it early and hopefully won't be affected by it. Must be easier to stop him scratching at that age?

What worries me Jodie, is the fact neither myself or my parents ever remember me getting the chicken pox!

It's bad for adults getting it right? :o

I see the muppets are coming out of the woodwork tonight. If you don't like a thread DON'T ******* POST IN IT! Engage what little brains you have next time.

Hope he gets better soon Jodie.

Chicken pox is an awful disease and affects the whole family. Try bicarb of soda in bath water as this helps the itchiness. Also, ask in your local health food type shop for some calendula tincture or any other suggestions as they can be really helpful.

Good luck and try to get some sleep.

Yep, very bad. I can remember my older brother getting it after me during his late teens and it was excruciating for him.

You are screwed, lol. :p

Its a thread about her kid getting Chicken Pots, its got nothing to do with the inner workins of parenting, get a grip man.

Why does anybody care about this crap bar you? - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/search.php?searchid=3322351

Oh perhaps because there are replies.

The biggest thread you ever had was 23 posts so lets see how many this goes to.

So because I don't make threads which don't get a lot of replies I shouldn't have the opinon to comment on other threads?

Pull the other one, a thread about how to disable pointless loggin on AD is more interesting then this thread.

well, the majority of people have said your post is crap, so maybe you shouldn't make crap posts , no personal insults either (crafty edit). You don't like this thread, but many people have replied. Not everyone has the same taste, be pretty boring if we did.

Which has had quite a few replies from other parents you will have noticed as to their experiences, so as long as others find it a useful thread and the mods deem it fit to belong here then you throwing your toys out of your pram is achieving what exactly?

You know what this is why I took a break from this place for months. It's so hostile. What is wrong with some people? There is no reason to be so horrible, there really isn't. I'm quite upset now reading some of these replies, and I know things shouldn't get to me but they do.

How an innocent post like this can cause such harsh replies is beyond me. God knows what I've ever done to some of you. I hope no one ever treats you that way and I hope your proud of yourself for making me cry.

So you think that this is a good thread, lets go over the points here:

- She has a son who is 9 months old
- He has got chicken pots
- He has a tooth coming through
- She is worried and amazined that the other two are going to get it/haven't already got it

This isn't serious, its not a new strain of the ebola virus, one of the kids has come home preganant or run away from home at aged 3 months.

It's a thread in GD about general life problems. So yes I think this thread has a place here. A lot more than 80% of other threads. But guess what If I don't like a thread I click the back button. Not insult people and generally be harsh.
