Uprated brake Line's

They don't make any difference to ultimate braking power assuming the originals aren't swelling up like balloons, but they do give better pedal feel so you can modulate the brakes more effectively.

I'd have thought it would give you more braking power. At some point with standard lines the more force on the pedal would just expand the lines more, whereas with braided lines they cannot expand so the extra force on the pedal is transmitted throught to the calipers/pads ? Definately give you more feel and consistancy though.

that ammount of expansion in the lines is very small though

its not like you've got a football of brake fluid not doing anything

they do add power to the braking, but not by any descernable ammount. its more about feel than anything else.

Only if the flexible hoses are completely knackered. They do swell slightly when you put pressure through them, but they certainly shouldn't keep growing in size enough to limit the pressure in the system.
