Yes the two are indeed related, though indirectly. I was on the bus yesterday and on sitting down I became rather wary of the people behind me. They were loud, aggressive and 'gangsta-ish' by their sound and clothes, if you get my meaning. I knew I had my wallet when I got on the bus but because of my pocket being close to them it's quite obvious what happened. OK I have no proof but it's extremely likely it was them. Thankfully I didn't have that much cash in it - only about £15 - but it's getting my bank cards replaced which is the pain.
The really annoying this is that I'm going abroad next week - on Thursday. I don't have a lot of money at the moment but some. The main thing is that I will get my wages paid into my account when I'm away so I really hope that my replacement card comes before next Thursday, especially with the postal strikes.
I mean, I empathise with the workers to an extent but when it affects me this directly I find it difficult. I'm more annoyed about the cards being late than my wallet being stolen, though if I'd had more cash in it I'd definitely be more miffed.
