Recent 1900XT Crossfire benchmarks?

Generally a pair of X1900XT cards is around the same speed as a single GTX, maybe a little slower.

Unless you can get them dirt cheap it's really not worth it though, power requirements are high and there's the heat output to take into account.

I already have a X1900XT, so just require a mastercard. Case and PSU can handle the extra heat/power consumption (600W Enermax)

I've managed to get both cards for £160 in total so i've gone the same route :).

It won't be a long term thing or anything, but for £160 they kick out a hell of a performance and cant wait to get it all set up.

I'm thinking about going the same way, would anyone know which drivers to go for?

I still use 6.8's at the moment (XP) and they seem to be the best for my system. Maybe someone who has had xp and crossfire could remember any better drivers than the others.

But after about the 7.4's, ati's focus was on the 2 series. They were really poor on my system, maybe thats just our computer tho.

Mastercards are rare beasts and will cost you £200+ new so unless you get lucky and find one 2nd hand cheap you might as well sell your x900xt and put the same money to it and get a 8800 GTX 2nd hand.

Just bought one for £70. If I sold my 1900XT for £70 I'll need to fork out £150+ for a GTX.
