Nice to see that the members of the forum that hail from that other part of the uk ( Northern Ireland ) seem to be excluded from these meets due to the fact that they are all generally based in England.

Awell, OCGB it is then. :(

Changed my mind, this is a much better idea. Closer too... though that had nothing to do with my change of heart :p.

We need to do it over a night and find out when one of those fairgrounds is there. You know... the dodgy kind. Best nights ever when you're 5-6 pints deep, suddenly the rides held together with nothing more than elastic bands and chewing gum become a challenge waiting to be conquered!
 
I'd love to attend a meet (you need UBs there as well!) but with my final year at Uni just beginning I can't really attend anything before the end of May.
 
Surely one single member on here has some Land we/You could use.
I would have thought the best meet would have been in a Private field with space for tents & BBQ's.
Costs Nowt apart from getting there & a case of beer.
Build a Massive Fire, get all Tribal, Shout at the Moon, Crap in the Woods & sleep where you drop :)

The only meets I've done are for deals via M&M so I don't know what i am talking about to be quite ****** honest, Just a Thought though.
 
London of course, it is the greatest city in the world after all (plus my hallowed hunting grounds of course :D)

I don't think London is what I'd class as central England - it's about as central as John O'Groats.

Out of the list of choices, I'd say Birmingham and Alton Towers would be the most central location - but Birmingham would probably be easier to get to. Although Alton Towers might provide entertainment and a few hours waiting in queues for a single ride, this all comes at great expense: £24 (online) or £32 to be exact!
 
We'll let the poll run for another day or so, just to make sure everyone has seen it.

I'll offer lifts to anyone who is around the Southampton/Pompey sort of area :)

Thats exactly what we should do, its what a meet should be about, loaaaads of bbq's and booze, lotsa having a laugh, bring a diesel generator so we can have music, comeone bring a projector and a tv so it can be plugged into the generator and up onto a screen, can have things on it then, under a huge tent or something, it could work.

would be an awsome laugh aswel.

I fear someone would make the mistake of playing bongos. I can certainly say its a very risky passtime. ;), and we'd have to wait for spring, hard to convince people to camp at this time of year.
