Ok, so it's not out until near end of November but it looks like fun.

The US price has been announced, $159 to include the Mic, Guitar & Drum Kit, not sure what the UK price will be but I expect it will probably be £159 here :rolleyes:

Still, I never bought Guitar Hero but this might be tempting, especially as the neighbours kept us awake last Sunday playing Singstar till gone past 4am :mad:

Apparently the Guitar Hero guitar will be compatible.

downside of the included peripherals is that they're wired

It's actually not out till Q1 08 for europe.

$159 for it all is a really good price. I expect the UK version to be about £120 or something

Rock Band most deffinately isn't because it's published by EA.

Orange Box is not by EA... it's by Valve, no?

EA is strict with their release region AFAIK.

I imagine the box for this would be HHHHUUUGGGEEE, good luck trying to get this imported without getting hit for taxes!!! (Can't be small if there is a drum kit and guitar in there!!!).

There's regional variations aswell with the track listing, so that's another reason why it's region locked.

lol, I must admit, I would definitely be afraid for being stung.
Still, I've only ever been done for import tax once, unfortunately it was for X-Men 3 The Official Game of all games. £33 total that game cost me, still sour about it.

Unlucky, terrible game as well!! I have been hit once for a Smallville box set ordered from that jersey places USA division (I did not know they would declare the correct value on the packaging) never used them again. For games I have always ordered from 1 or 2 places that always mark it as a $20 item to avoid the taxes.

Anyone got a pic of the box for this game (just wanna see how big it is!!) or is it too early for this?

Yeah, it's annoying when they accurately mark stuff. I remember when my mate got an ATi X800 XT PE imported months before they were here and it cost him £420 from Hong Kong. It was marked as a $10 PC adaptor card and it came through without problems.

Just one of those things I guess.

Hiya

I have not heard much about "Rock Band" apart from a few previews. It does look very fun (Needs a bass guitar

). I've yet to play Guitar Hero 1, 2 or 3 so Im just as much looking forward to Guitar Hero 3

.

I play the Guitar as a hobby anyway so im hoping I wont be too bad at it*

*I can hardly play the guitar as a hobby, I like to pretend im good by playing stupid riffs

I'm really looking forward to this. I'm hoping it will be released early 2008 as I may need more music to play by then. I'm already at Expert level (12 songs from the end) on GH2 so I expect to run through GH3 fairly quickly (though some songs will kick my ass). I'll definitely be buying the whole kit though, the guitar looks ace and I fancy trying the drums, while the gf will use the mic to sing along
