Kiefer Sutherland JAILED (Get out of that one Jack!)

Interupting filming would affect the livilihood of thousands of people who rely on the production of 24 going ahead on time. Harsh, for a drink driving offence.

This way, his co-workers are unaffected, but he still serves jail time. How can anyone disagree with that?

Why not replace him?

48 days and a 6 month driving ban...must have been a British Judge.

No.

A British judge would not have likely given him a custodial owing to pressure from the Home Office / MOJ owing to a lack of prison spaces.

As for Jack, if he can bust Ramon Salazar out of a maximum security prison then he should have no problems whacking a guard, hiding in a teapot, crawling through the armoury keyhole and shooting his way out just as the post office helicopter is taking off.

A Presidential Pardon is a foregone conclusion

Becuase he IS 24. Doing anything like that would seriously affect the profitability of the show and thus, the livlihoods of those who work on it.

Keifer commited the crime, and he should be punished. Not him AND everyone he works with.

So, under this deal, thats exactly what happens.

I hope you realize many have gone to jail whose absence has costed dearly on others, including businesses and the like. Jail and punishments should not make concessions.

And I hope you realise many escape things like that due to the effect it would have on others.

An example in this country are the countless morons who dont get banned when they get 12 points becuase they would lose their job.

You would never catch John McClane in jail.
I hope this finally puts to rest who is more Alpha :D

Seriously though you can't make some people happy. Me i am a believer, If you can't do the time don't do the crime. He was Guilty stuck his hands up & is taking his time. Job done as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed, the judge took a very pragmatic view. Maybe they could incorporate into filming? :D Get the writers to script him a breakout? Or at the very least a prison fight scene. Just get the prison wardens to change the uniform from 'Sutherland' to 'Bauer' (assuming they haven't done that already :))

"Kiefer made clear to us at the time of his arrest that his first concern was the welfare of those he worked with and that he intended to do whatever was necessary to prevent shutting down the show," it said in a statement.

"He told us that even if he had to sacrifice more time in custody in order to protect the show and the jobs of those who work with him, he would do so.

"From what occurred today, it is evident he is a man of his word."

Seems like Jack ALWAYS does 'Whatever it takes' :)
