Royal Mail Strike Action

I seriously hope some sort of agreement can be reached soon!

I've got literally hundreds of things that have been "sent", and I don't know if I can handle them coming in drips and drabs!! It's going to be nightmareish to account for missing items.

Why do you expect them to be missing  you should receive the backlog all within 3/5 days..

:D What was the work he mentioned?

I may not have got this 100% correct but the gist of it is they get paid for a shift, but don't actually have to work for the whole shift to get paid.

Now RM wants the workers to do other taks so as they work for their full shift but some of the employees are against this!

Also some RM workers are claiming a driving allowance but don't actaully drive as part of their job.

Its time to wake up, all that strikes are achieving is slowly putting nails in the coffin.

Well they should be sacked, claiming allowances you don’t even get and saying it on the news is plain wrong and stupid  and please nail in the coffin hmm..

Whats the chances of me receiving a package tomorrow if it was despatched today via 1st class?

Not a chance! Apparently they're working through the mail in the order it was posted so you'll be lucky if they get round to sorting it before the next round of strikes begin next week.

I finally got some post today, bloody mountain of the stuff , i bet the postie wasn't happy. :p

The amount of post I had to deliver was crazy  and its going to get worse as it all starts coming through :( Ah well my problem I guess for going on strike live with the consequences and all :)

THis dam strike has delayed a card i have sent , and a pc.. and i sent the pc with DHL but they have been so swomped by all the extra business its going to take a while for it to even be picked up.

he's racist, he has a white person in his sig but no black person :|

Edit :: I didn't realise if a postie finished after say 4 hours of an 8 hour shift, then went back and helped he'd get the 8 hours contracted hours + 4 hours overtime. That's just insane.

If it wasn't true it would be funny.

So far the strike has cost £260 million.

And RM workers want a pay rise amongst other things!!

Now here is one for the RM workers, how do you think the RM will recoup that £260 million, go on think about it..............
