Guys,

In the process of trial fitting my parrot bluetooth handsfree kit.

I managed to get it up and running using the cigarette socket but thats a constant live, not switched - any ideas?

Also, is there anything i can do to make the cigarette also switched as i have a habbit of leaving things connected when parking up.

Cheers

Mine just plugs into the stereo loom and gets its power from there - is yours different?

And the cigarette socket should turn off when you remove the key.

What parrot kit is it?

If its a CK3000/3100/3200 why arnt you using the ISO connection?

Then there are 2 fuses in the Parrot loom to swap around to change your +12v and Ign.

Astra is on the Canbus system, so had to use a ST0-122 from autoleads, that has a cable that you need to hook up to a switched live. The system only worked when i hooked it up to the cigarette adapter, and stayed on when ignition off!

parrot ls 3200 +

cigarette on all the vaux ive had recently, 3 astras/2 vectras have been constant live to cigarette

Sorry i my mistake i assumed it was an older astra.

The only Canbus interface i have used is a CB-1 from Sailes Marketing.

This should have all you need on it, although some probing around (with a safe led lamp)
im sure you can find an ign live.

Ah I have a funny feeling it may have a delay on it.

Try after the car has been off for 10-15 mins ;)

no, but when the ignition is on, it lights the button, when its off, it doesnt light it

when its off and you press the button it still flashes

My job is to fit them, therefore it's not my car. I've found the sticky velcro works well providing the dashboard is cleaned using alcohol.
