Yea I wasn't sure if that advanced level has the same layout as the first one, that is why I was just basing it on what I can see from the picture.

Im stuck on the last Advanced level (18 I think). Ive done the first big jump but i cant work out how to do the bit after that (theres a sort of wall that you can portal on, and a room behind with a few items)

You have to fire a portal ON TOP OF the platform you are trying to get to. To do this, you have to fire it whilst flying over from the start platform

Cheers, I thought it would be something like that. I tried to stack those boxes etc but to no avail :/

Edit: Erm, stuck on the next bit with the gun turrets :/

I ended up getting something to stand on, a chair I think. Could have been a security cam actually. :/

You need to get the rocket turret to shoot the wall to your right

Thanks...I did try that earlier the chair kept winding me up cos it wouldn't stand up straight. Just tried again and managed it...thanks guys!

That takes some doing. And this will practically solve the rest of the level, so warning to all:

***IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW TO BEAT ADVANCED 18 DON'T READ THIS POST FROM THIS POINT***

Right. As you enter that room, you have 4 turrets. You need to take out the two on the right hand side of the room. The closest to the platform you are on can be defeated by placing a portal behind it, stepping through and picking up/throwing it down into the goo. The other turret can be killed by taking the security cam off the wall, and then placing a portal behind the turret and throwing the cam at the turret to knock it off.

From there, head to the left hand side of the room and look to the far left top corner, place a portal up there, and a portal next to you on a wall. Look through this and look down, you will see a ledge/sticking out peice of wall, jump down onto this.

Look down, you will see a platform on top of the goo, place a portal as close as you can to the wall (where the two openings are for the button and the block platforms), and then jump down towards the floor, placing another portal on the way down. The momentum will throw you upwards, and strafing left should get you into the top most ledge.

Fire a portal back to where you entered the room, and leave one portal on the floor near the goo. Take the block and jump down into the portal, you then have the block back at the start of the room.

Repeat the above to press the button, then get back to the block. Take it through to get to the next part of the level.

My crosshairs have disappeared for some reason, and cl_drawhud 1 won't get it back. Anyone else have this problem or know how to get back the crosshairs? It's annoying as hell.

Stuck on level 18 or 19 here... (cant remember which)

Ive destroyed all the turrets but dont know how to get to the box/make that moving elevator turn on?

Wow that was a good game. I thought the difficulty level was pretty OK throughout. Now all I need is a copy of that final song for my iPod.
