Eid Mubarak

Eid Mubarak!

I've never been to/celebrated any Eid celebrations. It just doesn't happen round here for some reason.

There are two Eids, this Eid is to celebrate the end of Ramadan.

The month of Ramadan is where Muslims fast, eating before dawn and opening the fast at sunset. The understanding is to give appreciation for what you have even if it is very little and to also get more involved in Islam ie read more, prayer more, etc.

Eid Mubarak.

So i was hearing some guys in the gym today and they were finding it hard because of the lack of of food they were taking in at that time.

Anyway. Eid Mubarak.

No offence to any muslims but what's the point in Ramadan?? I didn't pay attention in R.E in school to this part :p

"oh I think I'll fast next week.... yeh I'm not allowed ANY food!....well between the hours of 9am-10am anyway then after that I can eat whatever I want of course!!!"

Eid mubarak lads, were doing it tomorrow (dudley west mids), as usual we couldnt organise a pee up in a brewery, we normally follow saud, but it was impossile to see the moon yesterday anywhere in the world, so we decided that saudi got it wrong this year:p

The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the inner soul and free it from harm. Properly observing the fast is supposed to induce a comfortable feeling of peace and calm. It also allows Muslims to practice self-discipline, sacrifice, and sympathy for those who are less fortunate, intended to make Muslims more generous and charitable.
