Best cfm 120mm fans - not delta's!

As title, want some new fans for my case with a high cfm but low dB!

Any suggestions/recommendations?
 
Not really possible to get both...

Nexus (Yate Loon)
Aerocool Turbine 1000
Noctua
Sharkoon silent eagle 1000

Or you could get some 38mm thick fans (Papst etc.) which will push more air at lower RPM.
 
Sharkoon silent eagle 2000. If too noisy lower the voltage.

38mm thick fans are rarely very quiet but papst or panaflo is the best you can do.

There are no fans that do what you ask but silenX advertise that they do what you ask. You might try this one (I don't reccomend SilenX - they're heavily marketed with a heavy markup):

That said I reccomend the silent eagle 1000 for as close to silence as you can get. Nexus real-silent case fan and Yate Loons (as a cheaper option) are a second choice.

Finally silentpcreview is your friend.
 
I would place Nexus over the Silent Eagles personally, you can pick them up for just over £4 each and they perform slightly better.

Looking at that Silenx I would say it's closer to 60CFM and 28db (actual sound, not marketing rubbish)
 
Are the Nexus and Silent Eagles better than the Akasa Amber's? If so, why are they better? Noise <> CFM ratio?

I currently have 2x 120mm and 1x 80mm Ambers, but they could be a little quieter TBH. I have to control their speed with an Akasa Fan Control Jr, or else they are too loud.

I am considering picking up some Nexus fans, but am a little worried they will be no better.
 
Thermaltake Thunderblade are quite good, 78cfm, the noise appears to air noise- and with that amount of movement to be expected.
 
Going for the Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000's, specs look good and still quuite quiet.

- Rated speed: 2000 RPM
- Sound: 36.1 dB(A)
- Air flow: 76.4 CFM

I dissagree with this. I have Yates and Sharkoons - there really isn't any contest.

The only thing that reccomends they Yates is the undervolt better (although they're still noisier) and they're a little cheaper (but then how often do you replace a fan - really?).

For really really slow fans not pushing much air but totally silent it's noctuas. For ballence with an enphasis on noise it's sharkoon 1000, for ballence with an enphasis on airflow its panaflo if you go 38mm and sharkoon 2000 for 25mm standard. For enphasis on cooling power without regard for noise think deltas if you're deaf and YS-Tech if you just don't care about going deaf.

This of course is only for 12cm fans.

For case fans the 14cm Yates I have are absolutly brilliant and I highly reccomend them. I couldn't find many 14cm fans on the market at the time but these things are great. Inaudable at 1m and push a lot of air at 5v still.

As a side note pabst are meant to do great fans that undervolt really well due to really good bearings. I don't have much experience with them however.
