Call of duty 4 demo out today?!

Eventually got this game at about 1am, played it for a solid hour over and over lol. FPS didnt tend to drop below 70 FPS with everything maxed out which i was very pleased about.

I love it, defo going to buy this one.

Well you can't please everyone. I loved it, the graphics and the gameplay are brilliant. The only downside I feel are the weapon sounds, they sound far too weak.

Yeah even tho I was slightly disapointed with the graphics I do applaud them on creating a game that runs so smoothly and stable.

It is rare with latest PC games today that they actually look good and run good on anything other than high end.

Yeah, the gun sounds do seem a little weak. Just played the demo through a couple of times and really enjoyed it although the gun you start out with is horrible, accurate enough but really lacks any feel. Soon remedied that by grabbing a nice G3 though :). Loved the 360 mp beta and i cant wait to play more of the sp campaign, this should be a pretty great package.

Enjoyed the game, graphics wern't amazing but it's a demo so it should improve.

I reckon multiplayer should be amazing and it looks like a solid game, I played on the 360 and loved it however I couldn't use the joypad , it just felt wrong.

On the mouse it feels great.

What an awesome game.

I love the theatrics and the graphics. Mine runs perfectly smooth with everything on Max which is a first for new releases without needing special drivers

how anyone can say this is a bad looking game is beyond me

may be not the greatest thing ever but the amount of stuff that's going on in that last section where your tank is is pretty darn impressive imo. Lots of NPCs, loads of SFX, smoke, lighting etc. I think they've done a pretty good job tbh.

My screenies again, if any one missed 1st time :p

Shows the settings i was running and FPS counter. Spent most of it's time in the 40/50s, never below 30. And that tip about enabling the dual card option does seem to help, those these pics where from before trying that.

Any chance of there being controller support in full retail release?

Why get into pc gaming if you're going to use a controller? It defeats the purpose of pc gaming. Silly person.

I just played the demo. SP was intense and a lot of fun but i'm looking more forward to the MP and the perks system. One thing i don't like is the grenades, all you do is press a key to throw them.

I think some of you guys are too harsh what is actually wrong with giving the option of both controller and keyboard/mouse.

I actually do play a lot of my games with keyboard and mouse but sometimes like to kick back with a controller on my 40" display.

I can't see why it offends you guys so much if the option could be available for both, would it really be so bad?

Calling me a silly person you don't even know me.

I think this is brilliant game and its definetly going on my preorder list:)
And the graphics are amazing and like the above poster said theres lots going on. And im not even suprised my rig is playing it at max settings with no stutter ( strokes new 8800gtx) and now im just counting the days to release:)

I played it on veteran first of all, like i did with the previous cod games and im pleasently suprised that it really is a lot harder. No frontal assaults for me i had pick my shots and flank the enemy as much as i could. And also a tactic i liked was sneaking past the enemy so my men would force themselves to push forward:)

hmm. when i scope in my Screen like splits into 4 parts and goes all crazy..me no lickey.

Here's a screeny with max everythng with AMD 3700+ @ 2.6, 2GB Ram and 8800 GTS 640.

Runs smooth as anything @ 1680x1050.

It would be nice if we could change how we hold our weapons in fps games. It just seems strange to always have your gun ready to fire when you don't need to. Just something i always noticed in these games.

Whats up with that dude on the left skin? His arm looks like plastic.

Tbh if I was running round where there could be enemy where ever I go I would always run with my gun ready to shoot! In a game like CoD I'm not sure when you would want to your gun down unless your in like a cutscene talking or something.
