My celica finally gets its engine swapped!

AGW, i'd guess he was probs only running 1.1bar, maybe less.

Some of the 3SGTE blocks have a week point between cylinders 2 & 3 I think which can cause the cracking.
 
My mate's just bought a jap GT4 - what do you GT4 guys recommend as a first mod for a bit of power. Only things done are suspension and alloys. But could do with more poke as he gets annoyed that he can't keep up with me :D

K&N Panel filter, boost gauge and a K1 ANO £25 relief valve.

Disable the 1st gear VSV and bring the boost up to 1BAR and thats a good start.

I have no problems with scoobs :p

Yeah, 1.1 BAR. but even thats hit and miss, so this engine i'm sticking to 1 BAR or 1.05 MAX (my blitz flashes red at 1.05)

the gap between 2 and 3 on the 3rd rev 3s-GTE is about half the size as the wall between 1 & 2 and 3 & 4
 
Good stuff mate, there's nothing like the satisfaction of firing it up when you've done it all yourself :cool:
 
My GT4 is standard, and I have no problems keeping up with WRXs, STIs are a bit more of a challenge.

Not fitted my boost controller yet, but i'll be sticking to 0.9bar in all gears first, then maybe upping to 1.0bar.
