the idiot shouldn't have had it in his mouth, anything small like a pen top is dangerous to have in your mouth. i cant see it happening either. i lost someone to alcohol, doesn't mean i should petition to get that banned. as it would never happen. and i like getting drunk anyway.

Why is it unreasonable? This happened when I was a kid and as a result most pen tops now have holes in them. We don't need pen tops either, there are those clicky pens as an alternative. If banning pen tops saves just one life then it's worth it imo.

It did happen 20 years ago, hence why most pen tops now have holes in them, so if they get stuck in your throat you should still be able to breathe. I wonder why this kid wasn't using one of those, or if they just don't work.
