Now it's getting interesting  :D
Aye makes a nice change from posts which say "OH IT ONLY COST £1,000,000" or "look at my posh expensive watch" - aka: willy-waving. :p

I do really want a Explorer II

It's a nice piece, very understated and hardly gets a glance.

I don't like the Daytona though, just never liked the style of it at all I'm afraid. But I'm pleased you're happy with it.

Very nice watch! I'd love to buy a proper watch, love the engineering and quality. Personally i'm a Breitling fan. Enjoy it. :)

All the rolex's I have seen look boring and generic, certainly don't look exciting or original. Also practically all the girls I have dated think they look tacky espicially the gold watchs. But hey if you like it then thats what matters!!

Excellent choice, it's the one Rolex that really does it for me, plus you got the best colour combo. Enjoy it :)

A rolex is many things, tacky is not one of them.

sure, but for the price you pay for that, you can afford to change the opinions of the girls you're after with your wallet ;)

One thing that has always bugged me about the daytona is the lack of date.

Im after a new watch soon. Kinda set on the stainless steel sub but am easily swayed towards others...any suggestions in the 2-4k market?

Very nice, although I'm not a great Rolex fan I prefer Doxa (I know, no comparison really but they float my boat as it were)

Current watch £120 accurist :( The Doxa will have to wait till the mortgage is paid off in a couple of years.

You finally got that last elusive teddy bear!

damn!, you beat me to it hehehe

I personaly can't see why people would pay more than £20 - £30 for a watch. I never wear one, I usualy just use read the time from my mobile.

I really dont remember the last time i even wore a watch

Its not a bad looking watch but it looks rather plain to me and just can't figure out how its worth £5100 ? is it made out of expensive metal like titanium or platinum or ..? im guessing the gubbings inside are pretty good which adds to the price aswell being a rolex.
