Whats better then the 7800 GT 256 mb?

Hi im after a upgrade, ive got a 7800gt 256mb atm and its a bit jerky on EP2 at 1680x1050 max settings.

I dont want out really powerful just better then the 7800GT dont wanna spend more then £100.

absolute bargain, but to be honest i would sell your 7800gt + £100 and you should be able to get a HIS ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro SILENT which would be a much better upgrade path.

or you might want to wait a tiny bit longer as nvida and ati are releasing never versions of their 2900 and 8800gts.

I would get one more 7800 gt 256mb in SLI because you won't get much that is better than what u have for £100

I dont have a SLI motherboard or PSU, i bought a ABIT IP35 today

If i went to ATI would i be better re-installing windows, ive just done it today lol

Yep, you wont have to reinstall Windows. Just delete old drivers using Drivercleaner.

The X1950Pro is definitely quicker than your current card & the best sub £100 card arround.

x1950pro is not much of an upgrade. yes its bit quicker but not the extra money your gonna shell out worth of speed gain. your best bet would be to get a 8800gt.

I picked up a used X1900XTX for £80 during the week.

Definitely worth it if you're not needing to buy new.

You can pick up a HD2900Pro for circa £150-£160 some places, that would probably be best for that rez - you could maybe get £50 for your 7800GT, so...
