Ratchet and Clank demo 4th October

Just played this through the first time and it was AMAZING!! Gonna try it again and try the other weapons out later. Are the previous games on PS2 and do they work on PS3? Are they similar to this?

Ok am I missing something because I hooked my PS3 up to the PSN for the first time today mainly to just download this demo but I cant find it anywhere :(

It's not listed under latest or demo's, any ideas anyone? :confused:
 
I didn't really like the demo, it felt too 'light' during combat and the level was terribly linear and boring. Nice graphics and production values though, it was like watching a high quality cartoon, especially the animations and voice acting.

I hope we get a good Jak and Daxter game for the PS3 soon. I've only played the very first game and heard the rest just went off the rails and pear-shaped, so if something like The Precursor's Legacy appeared on the PS3 that would make me a very happy man.

I did a google search for a familiar american street, pulled up the first company and used their address!

Oh and this game rocks, loved the demo and even better than that, the wife loved it too :)

i wasn't expecting much graphics wise but was quite impressed! gameplay is typical platformer and is very much like the other ratchet and clank games, i would highly recommend this demo so give it a go if you have a chance (and no i dont work for insomniac!!)
 
What I find strange is why the demo isn't released in Europe.

I live in the Netherlands, I downloaded the R&C demo from the US PSN store but when I play the demo it is 100% in Dutch :confused:

There's no real reason for it as Microsoft seem to be able to do near simultaneous releases just fine.

I guess it goes to show that it's the same demo that will be released in all regions, when they get around to putting it on all the PSN stores ;)

Still, we aren't as hard done by as some.
When I tried the German store, it was even more woeful than ours!

Still, nothing really to complain about, I mean, Sony must be aware that international users are logging onto the US store, as it gets the best content, and soonest (taken over from the Jap store) and they've not done anything to try to block it, it doesn't cost us anything, so we're still getting content at the same time as the Americans. No big deal really.

Maybe all the stores will be integrated when Home starts, which is why they're not bothering to do anything now? I don't really see there's a point in having a seperate US and UK store at this point. Better off shutting down the UK one, and using the cash to enhance the capacity of the US one. They only downside would be pricing in dollars, but so what? Steam games are all priced in dollars too, doesn't stop us buying from it.
True we've had some bargain prices here, Tekken was cheaper, and some others, but one integrated store would be better, as the US one is loaded... got so much stuff they've even had to organise it into categories, better than we have here.... on the other hand, as I said, we can access it, we can also access the UK one, it's all free, so what? ;)

You can register an online VISA card, which is what I do. I believe there is details in the PS3 sticky.

http://www.entropay.com takes a few days to setup, but after that very easy to use. you top it up with a debit card or credit card I think (I use debit card).

Edit: Just checked you can use it with VISA, VISA Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo, Delta.
