Hi I am at Freeman Pontifex...killed the 2 guardians and then what???

The vort and alex just stay near that antillion repellent gizmo...

What am I meant to do??

When the two Guardians are dead, I just walked to Alyx and the Vort, to which they then started to tell me "well done, you're l33t". Then walk over to the elevator and they follow :/

Climb up the ladder on the side of the lift then unstick it using the gravgun.

Is this Epi 2?
Once their both dead, the vort and alex say something and you head towards the lift just a bit past the repellent things.

you head to the lift structure near the tunnel that the guardians came from & get climbing

I cant get climing as it seems I need the vort to follow me......but he doesnt

climb up and send the lift back down, then he will follow you.

I replayed the level again and he followed

You can't climb up though if the Vort doesn't follow you and stays by the thumper thing - you need him to open a gate infront of the lift in order to give you access to the ladder , then you can climb up.

Anyway the OP has sorted it now, just incase others have the same glitch.
