Ratchet and Clank demo 4th October

I can't buy things in dollars so that would annoy me.

I think people are misunderstanding what I mean.
If they integrated the UK and US stores, you would be able to pay in dollars, like we do with Steam.

You'd just pay as you do now, with your PSN wallet, and your UK card, which would be registered to your UK address.

I don't mean drop the UK store, just integrate.

Anyway, was just a thought in passing, don't read anything into it ;)

You can register an online VISA card, which is what I do. I believe there is details in the PS3 sticky.

http://www.entropay.com takes a few days to setup, but after that very easy to use. you top it up with a debit card or credit card I think (I use debit card).

Edit: Just checked you can use it with VISA, VISA Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo, Delta.

I've tried no end to get Entropay working on PSN and it just doesn't accept my details.

Ok, but with maestro cards I physically cannot pay in dollars, just like I can't buy things from steam without using awkward work arounds. Thanks for the link rp200(0), I'll check it our.

Downloading R&C demo now, thanks guys.

Good, enjoy :D

I did, problem is, it'll probably cost you £30 odd, as you'll want to order the full game afterwards ;)

It is a great looking, light hearted, good humoured piece of entertainment though, and the playability is just about spot on, it's a joy to play, and a joy to watch.

(High praise indeed, coming from somebody who wouldn't generally go for a game like this, prefering shooting and racing, or just something that isn't so "cute") ;)

Oh I see, I didn't know about that, having never had that problem.

I always use my debit/credit cards, I take them abroad and use for purchases and drawing out cash, and I use them online to import from Europe in Euros, and the US in dollars. They all just auto convert to pounds, which shows up on my statement.

So, a mis-informed comment by me then, I didn't realise there were cards that didn't allow you to do that.

You live and learn!

Enjoy the demo anyway :)

It will be the first PS3 game I've bought so I don't mind :p

It's crappy HSBC. The halifax visa debit cards etc all allow payment in dollars.

Prrr, I've gone a bit mad in the past month or so, buying DiRT, The Darkness, Sega Rally, Ninja Gaiden (finally) and got Stranglehold Special Edition on Pre-order... not to mention the amount of blurays I seem to have bought, plus I want Haze, and after playing that (R&C) demo, added R&C to my preorders as well.

Had to make some time this afternoon as well, inbetween posting on here, to fit in a sesh on HL2 Ep2 on the PC.

I got resistance with the PS3 and bought WarHawk but that's not a "full" game and only cost £20.

I've got all 3 current gen consoles, a gaming PC and a DSLite so I only really play the cream of the crop.

You should think yourself luck you've not got a 360 too. I've got WAAAAAY too many 360 and PS3 games coming in the next 8 weeks.

Well, the problem is, I do have the PC as well.

As I mentioned, on top of that, I got the Orange Box, also got Bioshock and not even installed it yet.... only had an hour on MOH: Airborne so far, and waiting with baited breath for Call of Duty 4, Crysis, UT3, and also want Gears of War PC and Timeshift.

Hmmm, that reminds me, Time Crisis 4 is another PS3 game I fancied, and I wish Burnout Paradise would get released too ;)

I have bought quite a few blurays of late too, which, in my head when I order, is included in "how much I've spent on the PS3 this month" which reminds me, my Spiderman bluray boxset should be here tomorrow... so long as there are no more strikes?

The demo was poor, the graphics were also poor. Only good thing was the 20 second sixaxis sky dive.

lol, horses for courses.

I thought the demo was great, the graphics were great, and the only part I didn't enjoy was the sky dive! ;)

I can cope with opinions, but when you're the only one disagreeing, it smacks of wanting to be different.

You don't report for Edge do you?

Oliver, just get over the fact that there are some people who don't like the demo. I have already said earlier in this thread I didn't like it myself. I honestly can't see the big deal with the demo, it was one of the most linear and on-rails 3d platformers I've played on.

The upcoming Jak and Daxter game will wipe the floor with this stand-in.

Quoted for truth hahahaha!!! I thought it was excellent and i cant wait for this game.

Not liking is one thing, but saying the graphics are poor? Come on.
