Whos ditching 8800 for new rev?

properly pointless if you already have one, especially considering you have to realise your loss to sell the old one to buy the new one for no hope of a corresponding performance increase.

Link? :o

im going stright for the new 8800gts when its out depending on the price or the GT, just need some variable benchies to come out so i can compare them.

i think i have played with my 7300gt far long enough, nearly bought a 2900xt though.

hmmmmm if the price of the new 8800gts are correct I might get two and sell the gtx ASAP?

or wait keep it simple and get another GTX if the prices drop enough :D

or chill till next year for the 9800

9 quid loss.

I can handle that

guessing you either got a very good deal on an old gtx or on the new one?

to be fair all in I got my current gtx for about £180 but still I'm not tempted because right now it'd cost me a lot of real money I could keep in my pocket.

Especially seeing as I don't have a pci-e 2 mobo anyway and thats even more cost. I know it'll work in an older mobo but really, whats the point?

I sold mobo and 8800 GTS at the same time.

I'm on a PD 2.66ghz lol for the next few weeks!:p

Games suck!:D

actually thinking about it I love my black PCB GTX and it is not like its struggling in games... I think it will do a grand job till the 9800 ;)

My money is going to be spent on the countless games PC/360 I need to buy :D

The smell of 65NM and xtra Sp is to much for me!

8800 GTS looks like a GTX killer TBH (just not worth the extra)

didnt you have the 320mb one, if so then definetly worth the upgrade (at least to 512) btw what res are you running at as apparently (XS info) the 8800gt is meant to run supremely with the gtx on lower resolutions (1680x1050) with not a lot of AA. just depends whether you can live with 2xAA/AF for a while.

8800 320
8800 640
8800 GTX

Had them all.

Downgraded to 8800 GTS 320 whn GTX was 450.

I like testing new hardware and do the easy shuffle.

Although I sold the 640 GTS without the knowledge of the new REV.

Yes if there's a significant performance boost over my 640mb 8800 am talking at least 25 fps more across the board.Would be silly to hang on to the current gts's the prices are obviously going down a glass mountain if the new rev is a lot better.

I need to see cast iron benchmarks before making any decision there are many factors involved, such as, what if the 512mb gts is £260-£280 yet only say 10 fps better all comes down to price and performance gain.

Only the very obsessed would sell a gts for 200 and buy a new rev for 280 for a 10 fps increase.

The new GTS will stay at current pricing

In essence its the same card with a few tweaks

Just like the B3 quads and G0

I certainly don't believe or trust those fake benchmarks currently doing the rounds saying the 8800gt beats the 8800gts 640mb.Am not budging until i see a more reliable source.

Niether do I.

But a die shrink usually means better things across the board.

CPU GPU etc..

Slipstreamed GTS I'm loving it.

Can't wait to clock one!

Closing the gap form GTX users at no extra cost.:D
