GT 5: Prologue Demo 20th Oct

Could you give it a rest. People are discussing GT: Prologue; why you feel the constant need to criticise MS and XBLA I've no idea.
The point is, he feels a need to criticise Sony at every opportunity but seems to fail doing the same to the other side, who are more guilty than anyone of ripping off, (actually you're all mostly guilty of that one) It's a simple comparison. Without comparisons who's to know that there is any 'ripping off' at all? Much like you feel the need to criticise me (more often than not, I have noticed) when this isn't about me, yet you bring me into it, see the irony?

Edit - I seem to remember you critising me in another thread not long ago, you had a go at me and my sig, talk about 'the need to criticise' why you felt the need to do so, I have no idea ~ irony number two, I believe.

It's not [like] Microsoft have never cashed in is it and 360 fans seem happy with it." All 360 fans? Any cash-ins in particular?

The only two heavily overpriced item I can remember was Lumines Live! and the '360' community came down like a ton of bricks on MS for it.
Sorry missed this bit, like you have said, it's a Sony thread do we need to discuss in *detail* here? I'll give you two examples then we'll leave it there ok? HDD £120, daylight robbery by anyones standards. GOW map pack, epic wanted to give it away free but MS (who didn't spend one second working on it) screamed blue murder and said no ****** way, paid a fiver for 4 maps.

Look, I just think it very cheeky/naive/stupid/arrogant to complain about a demo (does he have a ps3, will it affect him?) that contains so much stuff and is a (part of) new game in it's own right, not just a damn map pack or such.

Hopefully GT5:Prologue will be similar to the way in which GT:Prologue worked, in that the licences you do in Prologue will be able to be translated to the full game, that was a nice touch as it meant you able to get something out of paying for a demo.

Why is it daylight robbery?

Edit-Sorry,i thought you were talking about the HD-DVD drive.
No probs, I don't want to turn this into a 360 thread, I was just trying to point out that there are worse things to complain about that's all :)

Graphics are one thing but im interested to see how the game feels and the cars handle. PGR4 is very good in the handling with different cars requiring a different style/nature to drive.

Look forward to the demo, the incar shots and models do indeed seem to reach a great level of detail, if only they sort the jaggies particulary in the reflections etc
Lets hold judgement till we get to experience some high action 16 car races....

This alone is a first for online and on a console i believe?

Ms has never charged for a demo on xbox live, Gt prologue is a demo, i admitt probably a good demo but a demo is still what it is, must be nice to charge double for the same game and add twice as much.

Sony have a lot to live up to if they want to better forza. They really raised the bar with their last game. It's not just about having loads of cars in game anymore. You need realistic physics and be able to tune your car and feel the difference.

A bit of charachter would be nice - oppps PGR3 and 4 missed on that one (imo of course) - PGR4 looks very pretty though

Guess what, you dont nor anyone else for that matter is forced to buy it. As a consumer you decide. Look at most of the people on your friend list that have purchased from marketplace regards (cheaper) back catalouge titles and you will see from their achievements they havnt played much of the titles they have bought. Certainly people on my list aint. A waste of money for most, but really they buy them to experience them not really to fully play till completed.

It be nice if some would Stop blumming moaning and be glad at least the demos arriving. I dont get some of you lot at all...

you missed my point, no demos on XBLA have to be paid for, arcade games are not demo's so doesn't matter if people are only experiencing them or not because its the full game, its people like these GT fans who cannot wait so Sony see a good way of charging for something extra - twice - abit like rumble controllers when they come out, lol.

The thing is this "demo" will probaby have more longevity than most retail games released nowadays, so should you judge the value of a game based on the amount of crap/content; or how long it keeps you entertained? the last half a dozen games I've bought I lost interest within a week - is that good value?

It's not like most racing demos with 1 track, 2 cars and only 3 laps etc, it's a mini version of GT5 that's going to keep hundreds of thousands of fans entertained until the full game is released.

I have absolutely no problem paying for Prologue. It's substantial enough, and based off its predecessor's Prologue it isn't going to be some skimpy paper-thin game. Roll on demo, prologue and ultimately the full game. Gran Turismo is the kind of stuff that the PS3 was made for. GT5 will pretty much be the second coming of Christ when it comes to racing games. We need to remember this and actually start getting excited instead of going into semantics about demos and prices and whatever.

Unfortunately it has been taken off the PSN store. :( It's to make way for the forthcoming GT5: Prologue demo, which comes very soon.

Guys where can I get the GT:HD demo before prologue comes out for the PS3?

Maybe if someone shares the game with you ie give you there login details, you can get it that way. Not sure if it will work though, but it did for me with Everbodys Golf 5 when it went off the Japan store, so may work for GT HD, but they have taken then Online records down. There is another way it might be done (possibly) by using your PC as a proxy server( If thats naughty then Delete it mods, but i dont think it is against any rules). Best thing to do IMO is try my first way if not wait 2 weeks for GT5 prologue and try the demo.
