They are just kids, for Christ sake have people not got better things to do with there time than to track people down for ******* about drunk jumping on a car?

As said, none of them were kids, they are grown men that should know better. I see your point in that it was not a violent crime and no one got hurt. However, this sort of thing is happening more and more, and this is a moderately high profile example of grown men who are repeat offenders doing serious damage to cars so I don’t have a problem with them being made an example of. The fact is the police will pretty much never do anything about car vandalism, so if these idiots get burnt for what they’ve done, and lots of people hear about it, surely its good deterrent to those who think there are no consequences to crimes like these.

Having said all that, I still don’t even know if anything will happen. If one of the communities was going to perform some vigilante justice, you would have thought they’d have done it already, and the last article linked to in this thread had a quote from the police saying they essentially don’t care.

And also it's not just the jumping on cars is it. There are other videos of them running on the top of a line of cars, and generally abusing people which were also taken from their myspace accounts.

Further to this, as said, they are not kids. Yet they are pruod and were bragging about what they did even after they had sobered up. They are clearly a bunch of **** all the time, not just when drunk, and they are not going to grow out of it unless taught a lesson by the long arm of the law.

I'd kick their heads in, I'm not disputing that, just think the amount of media attention it's getting is stupid. Seriously, who cares? Doesn't look like the owner is bothered about doing anything either.

Where does it mention a caved in roof?!?

Sure thats fine, next time someone hits your car i hope you dont complain

I'll agree that posting it on the internet for a manhunt is a touch excessive, but given the fact that nothing would happen otherwise and these guys would get off scott-free then I'm all for naming and shaming and making a point of these numpties.

I don't think the fact that it's a being called petty crime either, when the value of a new roof costs £850 and the rest of the damage must cost the same again.

It does beg the question why people do this... I couldn't even imagine acting like such a toe rag. :o

They have a fiber glass body; I assume the damage would have run into thousands because they ran over the front and back of the car.

Muncher, this thread appears to have disapeared into the ether that is SELOC.

Am I right in assuming that the guy whom the car belonged to actually issued a formal complaint once he'd been found by SELOC members and informed about the 'investigation'? If so, we can only hope that the evidence that had been collected and the guy's complaint will result in convictions.

Been removed from YouTube I think. Was just about to join in that argument with Matt then realised the age of the thread lol.

Our justice system is a bloody joke. Lack of evidence my trumpet. At least he is named and shamed.
